The Food Effect Green Power Shake

This protein packed Green Power Shake is one of my favourite things to whip up on busy days! ‍

It’s great for enjoying at home or taking on-the-go, and makes a perfectly healthy, delicious and filling breakfast, or post workout snack.

It fuels your body with fibre, protein (over 30g!), vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It has ZERO SUGAR and is totally waistline friendly – yet it still tastes as good as a Haagen-Dazs milkshake!

Oh, and it’s dairy-free and vegan too!

Recipe

Serves 1

70g frozen spinach
1/2 to 1 cup ice cubes
1 scoop (30g) plant-based protein powder (I love this one)
1 tbsp nut butter (e.g. peanut or almond butter)
1 tbsp granulated sweetener (e.g. stevia or erythritol)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger (optional)
Few drops vanilla essence (optional)
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice

Place the frozen spinach and ice in a blender. Blend until the ice is fully crushed. Add the remaining ingredients and blend for several minutes on the highest speed until completely smooth. Pour into a large glass, serve with a straw and enjoy!

P.s. You can also add 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder to create The Food Effect Chocolate Green Power Shake.
